5 Software to Automate Your Business

As we embarked on 2023, one of our critical goals was to AUTOMATE EVERYTHING. Yep, everything that could be automated was. We needed to conserve our time to focus on serving our clients. That meant if there was software that would enable something to be automated, we invested in it. Here are five software we couldn't live without after implementing this year!

Loom
We use this video messaging platform to walk our clients through our process and show them how to access design files for reviews. We also provide feedback for our designers via Loom without having to wrangle everyone’s schedules for a meeting. You can up the video speed to 2x and cut meeting times in half while still retaining a relational aspect by turning on your camera to show your face.

Dubsado
This client management software features smart files where you can put your proposal, contract, invoice, timeline, and billing schedule all in one spot. Click send and you won’t have to track down where you saved their contract or go searching for their invoices. Set workflows to guide your clients through your onboarding process automatically, saving you time emails that could be auto-filled.

Asana
This project management is the backbone of our business, and we highly recommend you go ahead and upgrade your account. This allows you to use project board templates and automation rules so that as soon as a project comes in, you can hit a button, and all of your tasks are created for you.

Zappier
We use an email platform that’s more customizable than Mailchimp, but we need to direct all of our newsletter subscribers to this mailing list. Zappier connects the two apps so our emails can reach our audience while we have more creative freedom. We also use it to connect Dubsado to Asana, so new inquiries create new client onboarding tasks.

Grammarly
This heaven-sent software allows for super quick proofing. Everywhere we have copywriting, from small projects like an Instagram caption to larger projects like websites or email campaigns, Grammarly does the nitty-gritty proofing for us.
